Scouting of Brazilian Greentechs
Provide opportunities for connections and projects with startups seeking to leverage climate-smart agriculture by obtaining solutions for a sustainable, deforestation-free soybean chain with no conversion of native vegetation. This is what is proposed by a partnership between the Land Innovation Fund and Climate Ventures, an innovation platform established to accelerate a regenerative, low-carbon economy, connecting leaders from government, civil society, and the private sector, whose mission is to increase investments in green businesses for the climate and foster an ecosystem of people and organizations that support climate entrepreneurship.
Operating across seven sectors (agriculture, forestry and land use, industry, logistics and mobility, energy and biofuels, water and sanitation, and waste management), Climate Ventures runs accelerator programs for startups at different stages of development, promotes business rounds, and maps climate technology startups, to generate an index of the startups with the greatest potential for impact. The Fund will be Climate Ventures' partner in two acceleration programs: ClimateLaunchPad, a global competition seeking solutions with a potential to develop clean technologies that mitigate effects of climate change; and Onda Verde Connection, a program that generates connections and business opportunities among climate startups, the private sector, and investors.
