Soy Transparency Panel
Traceability platform and environmental certification
A monitoring and traceability tool for companies and farmers to prove they are selling soy grown on farms that comply with landholding and socio-environmental laws. With the Green Soy Seal (Selo Soja Verde) platform, Busca Terra offers a single, spatialized, and georeferenced base, using an integrated analysis of public data to produce a positive registry of rural land holdings. The startup's proposal is to reward producers who comply with the Forest Code by offering the Green Soy Seal, with incentives to generate payments for environmental services. In the pilot project, 74 soy farmers took part, covering an area of 179,000 hectares in the Cerrado biome.
The platform offers land regularization services and payment for environmental services and issues a green seal based on the automated analysis of data available from public reference sources such as INCRA, the Federal Revenue Service, IBAMA and IBGE, among others. The data is structured, analyzed, and presented for each farm being appraised, with customized qualitative analysis reports and suggestions for regularizing the situation. Farms meeting all the legal requirements are awarded a Green Soy Seal and become part of the startup's public database of suppliers.
